Fritillary and trash August 27, 2021

I think this is an Aphrodite fritillary butterfly (Speyeria aphrodite). Saw it around The Sandford Rd. and Concession 3.

I’ve read that they see mostly in ultraviolet.

These days their range is over a great spangled mess of trash tossed from car windows, like these Tim Hortons cups on Concession 6, same day.
